Been a few years since graduation?  Time to up your game!

They say a college degree has a shelf life of about 5 years.  Ready to game up?  While time on the job teaches you much by way of experience, taking some extra courses or even mini-courses can really help you keep pace with the fast changing world we live in.

One great source for some extra PD (Professional Development) is BloomBoard.  Once you sign up for an account, you will two types of materials: collections, and micro-credentials.  Micro-credentials are badges that you earn on a specific topic such as:

  • Why use tech in the classroom?
  • Creating flexible learning environments
  • Digital Game based learning: identity protection
  • Global cultural competence
  • Setting goals for students

And so many more.  In addition to micro-credentials are collections.  These are materials curated by other teachers like you, either for use in your classroom or for your own learning.  They can be lesson plans, articles, podcasts, any number of materials.  Carefully curated to be most useful for you.
